Tomorrow on Christmas eve we will be singing carols at Combe House at 11:00 – followed by mince pies and mulled wine. At 4pm is our most popular service of the year – Christingle, come early to get a seat! Later at 11:15pm is the atmospheric midnight communion service, and on Christmas day we celebrate with an all-age communion at 10am – do join us to discover the real magic of Christmas.
I have now added the audio sermons from the past two weeks from our visiting speakers, Rev. Peter Taylor and Rev. Mike Talbot – check them out if you were unable to be there. You will find them under the ‘Media’ tab above.
This Sunday at St Marys: At 8am is our quiet communion service, then at 10am we have our Nativity service where we will be joined by the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. At this service we also welcome the Rev Mike Talbot as guest preacher. At 6pm we have our candlelit carol service followed by mince pies and mulled wine. Do join us as we enter this final week of advent.
This week is Gaudete Sunday – when we focus on the joy of Christmas – I will be speaking on that subject at our 8am service, and at our all-age 10am service we welcome the Rev Peter Taylor who will be speaking on ‘The God of love’. Meanwhile here’s a festive tune that ties in with Sunday’s theme – enjoy!
