Service tomorrow

Our on-line service will be posted here early tomorrow. The songs this week are as follows:

And can it be

And can it be that I should gain
An int’rest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain—
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

’Tis myst’ry all: th’ Immortal dies:
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more.

Tis mercy all! Let earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more.

He left His Father’s throne above—
So free, so infinite His grace—
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam’s helpless race:
’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For, O my God, it found out me!

Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For, O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
Thine eye diffused a quick’ning ray—
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach th’ eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

Bold I approach th’ eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

Blessed Assurance

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine;
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.

Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.

There is a redeemer

There is a redeemer
Jesus, God’s own Son
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah
Holy One

Jesus my redeemer
Name above all names
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah
Oh, for sinners slain

Thank you, oh my father
For giving us Your Son
And leaving Your Spirit
‘Til the work on Earth is done

When I stand in Glory
I will see His face
And there I’ll serve my King forever
In that Holy Place

Thank you, oh my father
For giving us Your Son
And leaving Your Spirit
‘Til the work on Earth is done

Hymns for tomorrow

The lockdown service link for this week will be available tomorrow morning, the hymns this week are as follows:

THE CHURCH’S ONE FOUNDATION

The church’s one foundation is Jesus Christ, her Lord;

she is his new creation by water and the Word:

from heav’n he came and sought her to be his holy bride;

with his own blood he bought her, and for her life he died.

‘Mid toil and tribulation, and tumult of her war,

she waits the consummation of peace forevermore;

till with the vision glorious her longing eyes are blest,

and the great church victorious shall be the church at rest.

Yet she on earth hath union with the God the Three in One,

and mystic sweet communion with those whose rest is won:

O happy ones and holy! Lord, give us grace that we,

like them, the meek and lowly, on high may dwell with thee.

TO BE IN YOUR PRESENCE

To be in your presence, to sit at your feet,

Where your love surrounds me and makes me complete.

This is my desire, O Lord, this is my desire.

This is my desire, O Lord, this is my desire.

To rest in your presence, not rushing away,

To cherish each moment, here I would stay.

This is my desire, O Lord, this is my desire.

This is my desire, O Lord, this is my desire.

I HEARD THE VOICE OF JESUS SAY

I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come unto me and rest;

Lay down, O weary one, lay down your head upon my breast.”

I came to Jesus as I was, So weary, worn, and sad;

I found him in a resting place, And he has made me glad.

I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Behold, I freely give

The living water, thirsty one, stoop down and drink and live.”

I came to Jesus, and I drank of that life-giving stream;

My thirst was quenched, my soul revived, and now I live in him.

I heard the voice of Jesus say, “I am this dark world’s light;

Look unto me; your morn shall rise, and all your day be bright.”

I looked to Jesus, and I found in him my star, my sun;

And in that light of life I’ll walk till traveling days are done

A big announcement

A big announcement being made today:

The Reverend Andy Batchelor has accepted an offer to be priest in charge of the parishes of Harbury, Ladbroke and Ufton in the Coventry diocese. The institution service is yet to be arranged, but could be sometime in September. Please pray for Andy and his family as they prepare to leave Cumbria and Serve these three churches and their communities.

Update on reopening church buildings.

You may have seen the new government guidance that states churches can reopen for public worship from the 4th July. This would only be in limited numbers and singing is prohibited. After consulting our church wardens and bearing in mind the needs and vulnerabilities of our congregations we have agreed that we will look to restarting services in August at the earliest, but will keep the situation under review. The churches will still be open for private prayer on Sundays and our on-line services will continue as normal.

Tomorrows lockdown service – 28/06/20

The link for tomorrows lockdown service will be posted here in the morning – the songs for this week are as follows:

ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER

All to Jesus I surrender, all to Him I freely give.
I will ever love and trust Him, in His presence daily live
I surrender all, I surrender all,
All to Thee my blessed Saviour, I surrender all.
All to Jesus I surrender, humbly at His feet I bow.
Worldly pleasures all forsaken, take me Jesus take me now.
I surrender all…
All to Jesus I surrender, make me Saviour wholly Thine.
Let me feel the Holy Spirit, truly know that Thou art mine.
All to Jesus I surrender, Lord I give myself to Thee.
Fill me with Thy love and power, let Thy blessings fall on me.
I surrender all…
All to Jesus I surrender, now I feel the sacred flame.
Oh the joy of full salvation, Glory, Glory to His name.
I surrender all…

AS WE ARE GATHERED

As we are gathered, Jesus is here,.
One with each other, Jesus is here.
Joined by the Spirit, washed in the blood.
Part of the body, the church of God.
As we are gathered, Jesus is here.
One with each other, Jesus is here.

TAKE MY LIFE

Take my life and let it be
Consecrated Lord to Thee.
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Take my voice and let me sing
Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.

Take my will and make it Thine.
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart it is Thine own.
It shall be Thy royal throne.

Take my love; my lord I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself and I will be
Ever, only all for Thee.
