Lockdown restrictions easing

As some of you may have seen, churches will be reopening soon for private prayer and hopefully there will be further relaxation as time goes by. St Marys PCC is meeting via zoom on Friday 12th June to discuss how we can safely open up the church, and we will let you know once arrangements are in place.

Trinity Sunday 7th June 2020

Join us tomorrow for our Trinity Sunday lockdown service – the link will be published here early tomorrow. Denise will be presenting two hymns, Holy, Holy, Holy, and Father, we love you. The words are as follows if you would like to join in:

HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty

Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee.

Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty

God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee

Though the eye of sinful man

Thy glory may not see

Only Thou art holy, there is none beside Thee

Perfect in pow’r, in love and purity.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty

All thy works shall praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea

Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty

God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

FATHER WE LOVE YOU

Father, we love You, We worship and adore You,

Glorify Your name in all the earth.

Glorify Your name, glorify Your name,

Glorify Your name in all the earth.

Jesus, we love You, We worship and adore You,

Glorify Your name in all the earth.

Glorify Your name, glorify Your name,

Glorify Your name in all the earth.

Spirit, we love You, We worship and adore You,

Glorify Your name in all the earth.

Glorify Your name, glorify Your name,

Glorify Your name in all the earth.

Pentecost service

Tomorrow our Pentecost service includes a sermon from Rev Clive and hymns by Denise. Our service link will be posted here early tomorrow morning and also remember our zoom coffee at 11:30am. It would be great to beat our record number last week!

The words to the songs are as follows:

Be Still

Be still, for the presence of the Lord,
The holy One, is here;
Come bow before him now
With reverence and fear
In him no sin is found
We stand on holy ground.
Be still, for the presence of the Lord,
The holy One, is here.

Be still, for the glory of the Lord
Is shining all around;
He burns with holy fire,
With splendour he is crowned:
How awesome is the sight
Our radiant king of light!
Be still, for the glory of the Lord
Is shining all around.

Be still, for the power of the Lord
Is moving in this place:
He comes to cleanse and heal,
To minister his grace –
No work too hard for him.
In faith receive from him.
Be still, for the power of the Lord
Is moving in this place.

Spirit of the living God

Spirit of the Living God
Fall afresh on me
Spirit of the Living God
Fall afresh on me
Melt me mold me
Fill me use me
Spirit of the Living God
Fall afresh on me

Lyrics for tomorrows worship songs:

JESUS, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NAME

Jesus, what a beautiful name.
Son of God, Son of Man, Lamb that was slain.
Joy and peace, strength and hope,
Grace that blows all fear away.
Jesus, what a beautiful name.

Jesus, what a beautiful name.
Truth revealed, my future sealed, healed my pain.
Love and freedom, life and warmth,
Grace that blows all fear away.
Jesus, what a beautiful name.

THERE IS A REDEEMER

There is a redeemer, Jesus, God’s own Son.
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One.

Thank you, oh my Father
For giving us Your Son
And leaving Your Spirit
‘Til the work on earth is done.

Jesus my redeemer, name above all names.
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Oh, for sinners slain.

Thank you, oh my Father
For giving us Your Son
And leaving Your Spirit
‘Til the work on earth is done.

When I stand in glory, I will see His face.
And there I’ll serve my King forever in that Holy Place.

Thank you, oh my Father
For giving us Your Son
And leaving Your Spirit
‘Til the work on earth is done

O LORD, MY ROCK AND MY REDEEMER

O Lord, my rock and my redeemer

Greatest treasure of my longing soul
My God, like You there is no other
True delight is found in You alone
Your grace, a well too deep to fathom
Your love exceeds the heavens’ reach
Your truth, a fount of perfect wisdom
My highest good and my unending need.

O Lord, my rock and my redeemer
Strong defender of my weary heart
My sword to fight the cruel deceiver
And my shield against his hateful darts
My song when enemies surround me
My hope when tides of sorrow rise
My joy when trials are abounding
Your faithfulness, my refuge in the night.

O Lord, my rock and my redeemer
Gracious Saviour of my ruined life
My guilt and cross laid on Your shoulders
In my place You suffered bled and died
You rose, the grave and death are conquered
You broke my bonds of sin and shame.

You rose, the grave and death are conquered
You broke my bonds of sin and shame.

O Lord, my rock and my redeemer
May all my days bring glory to Your name
May all my days bring glory to Your name.

Sunday 17th May

Do join us for our lockdown service tomorrow (link available from tomorrow morning), and virtual coffee on Zoom at 11:30 (link also published here tomorrow). This week we welcome Ramsay as our guest preacher, and in preparation for our worship here are the words you will need:

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be

Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside

The Steadfast Love of the Lord never ceases

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases

His mercies never come to an end

They are new every morning, new every morning,

Great is Thy faithfulness, O Lord

Great is Thy faithfulness.

ALL HEAVEN DECLARES

All Heaven declares the glory of the risen Lord.
Who can compare with the beauty of the Lord?
Forever You will be the Lamb upon the throne.
I gladly bow the knee and worship You alone.

I will proclaim the glory of the risen Lord.
Who once was slain to reconcile man to God.
Forever You will be the Lamb upon the throne.
I gladly bow the knee and worship You alone
