Join us tomorrow at St Marys. At 8am is our quiet communion service, followed at 10am by the baptism of Madeline Herrington as welcome this child into the family of God and mark the beginning of a journey of faith. At both services our reader-in-training Tom Cox will be preaching on the invitation to a new life that God offers us all.
Tomorrow is the second week of Epiphany, and at our 8am and 10am services we will be thinking about unity and mission in the humility of John the Baptist, and Jesus words to his followers to ‘Come and See’. Later at 3-5pm there is Messy Church in the centre for fun, food and not forgetting the action songs!
Tomorrow on Christmas eve we will be singing carols at Combe House at 11:00 – followed by mince pies and mulled wine. At 4pm is our most popular service of the year – Christingle, come early to get a seat! Later at 11:15pm is the atmospheric midnight communion service, and on Christmas day we celebrate with an all-age communion at 10am – do join us to discover the real magic of Christmas.
I have now added the audio sermons from the past two weeks from our visiting speakers, Rev. Peter Taylor and Rev. Mike Talbot – check them out if you were unable to be there. You will find them under the ‘Media’ tab above.

Meanwhile here’s a festive tune that ties in with Sunday’s theme – enjoy!
Today at St Marys hall is our Christmas Fair from 2pm – do join us for goodies and a few bargains. This Sunday is the beginning of advent, and as we light the first advent candle we will be reflecting on Gods gift of hope. 8am is our quiet communion service, and at 10am we welcome the families of Ella McShane and Emerson Arts as they are baptised and welcomed into the family of God.
This Sunday at St Marys at our 8am and 10am services we will be thinking about leadership, both good and bad – with reference to contemporary issues in the world. (You can probably guess what they are!). Later at 3-5pm is our last Messy Church of the year which has an advent theme. The action songs will help you keep warm in this cold weather 😉
